WEEK 1 PREPAREDNESS CHALLENGE - WATER

72 hours of Water:
  • Learn the different water storage options in our homes.
  • Learn the importance of rotating water and how often it's needed, or alternatives to rotation.
Water Filtration:
  • Learn the different methods, techniques, and products to purify your water.




Challenge:



Activity: 50 points
Store 2 gallons of water per person per day.
Example: 1 person needs 6 gallons of water for a 72 hour period. If there are 4 people in your family, you will need a minimum of 24 gallons of water stored.




Bonus: 25 points
  • Try at least one method to purify water from a creek, pond or river using an alternative purification method




Time: 30 mins - 1 hour
Points Available:
  • Videos: 15 points each
  • Activities: 50 points each
  • Bonus items 25 points each
